Overview

Frame36 ("the App") is a film camera simulator for iPhone developed by Sebastian Kortmann. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your data.

The short version: Frame36 does not collect any personal information. All photos, rolls, and settings are stored locally on your device only.

Data We Do Not Collect

Frame36 does not collect, transmit, or store:

- Your photos or camera roll
- Your location
- Your name, email, or any personal identifiers
- Usage analytics or behavioral data
- Device identifiers
- Crash reports (beyond what Apple provides via opt-in)

Local Storage Only

All data created within Frame36 — including your rolls, developed photos, and app settings — is stored exclusively on your device using iOS local storage. This data is never transmitted to any server.

If you delete the app, all locally stored data is permanently deleted.

Camera Access

Frame36 requests access to your device camera solely to capture photos within the app. Camera data is processed on-device only and is never transmitted externally.

Photo Library Access

When you choose to save a developed roll, Frame36 requests permission to write photos to your Photo Library. The app only writes — it does not read your existing photos.

In-App Purchases

In-App Purchases are processed entirely by Apple via StoreKit. Frame36 does not handle or store any payment information. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for details on purchase data.

Notifications

Frame36 requests permission to send local push notifications to alert you when your roll has finished developing. These notifications are generated and delivered on-device only — no server is involved.

Third-Party Services

Frame36 does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

Children's Privacy

Frame36 does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. As no data is collected, the app is safe for all ages.

Changes to This Policy

If this Privacy Policy changes, the updated version will be posted at frame36.app/privacy with a new "Last updated" date.
